about the brand

MakeWhale is a premium 3D printing company specializing in customized and personalized products. It deals with all materials into 3D printing such as plastic (FDM, SLS, ABS, and Nylon), metals (Brass and Sterling silver), sandstone, and ceramic.

learnings

I gained valuable knowledge about various materials used in 3D printing, including their properties, considerations, finishes, and quality. I was also involved in creating business strategy and ultimately improving it. Additionally, I was responsible for creating social media posts and marketing materials to expand our outreach.

During this experience, I was exposed to the 3D printing process, which allowed me to witness the creation of high-precision products within tight deadlines. Despite its relatively slow pace, 3D printing proved to be an excellent tool for prototyping.

Moreover, apart from focusing solely on the design process and its parameters, I also acquired insights into customer service and prioritizing customer satisfaction. This experience taught me to work efficiently under demanding time constraints while paying attention to even the smallest details.

The task involved designing a captivating card holder for an organic products brand. Given the brand's focus on promoting organic products, it was important for the card holder to incorporate this theme without appearing cliché. After extensive collaboration between our team, the client, and multiple explorations, we derived the concept of a "tree" as the central element. The final product successfully met all the required specifications and was manufactured using Recycled Nylon material, specifically chosen to align with the organic brand's values. As a result, the cardholder gained recognition and was featured in various magazines.
