Our topic for this course was Virtual Identity where we had to create a trend forecast for a hypothetical client. We chose The Olympic movement for the year 2040 to go gender neutral.

The concept

Our final concept was a strategy for Olympics 2040, a gender-neutral sporting event. Going gender-neutral for Olympics is good because it will reduce the gender biases that happen currently in the game completely giving everyone a fair chance to perform. Virtual Identity is going to be the main factor on which the players are distinguished and authenticated.

The learnings

I learned how to conduct a lot of secondary research in a limited time. Strategizing, creating vignettes and trend forecasting was a new experience for me. I learned how important it is to be able to forecast the future, go wild with the imagination and then trace it back to the present reality making it more feasible and doable with road maps and strategies. Only because we had the liberty to go wild did we come up with a gender-neutral event becoming our main focus than virtual identity for the 2040 Olympics.
